Acting for Indigenous Rights by Mariana Leal Ferreira is a transformative guide about how to change the world using Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed. As a Brazilian myself, I cannot help but praise the author for using Boal’s incredible pedagogy to help us understand what indigenous rights are and how we can help enforce them today. The teaching manual is very helpful for high-school and college teachers to educate us about indigenous peoples’ rights. I hope it is being translated into Portuguese and Spanish right away, as many school teachers in South America and their students don’t speak English. Thanks for this great resource.
